Dear Readers,
I have failed to post here on the bolg for the last little while. First and foremost, I have made no new progress on Dead Reckoning since finishing the story board. Secondly, my time has been swallowed up by my “real job”. It appears that I will be working at my office again this weekend, trying to finish up a project that has to be done by next week.
So far, this has been the greatest frustration that I have had as a writer. I want to get back to my book and long to see it finished. However, as I glare into my schedule for the upcoming days and weeks, I believe that I will once again be able to turn my attention back to my writing. I suppose that this may be one of the most amazing and difficult challenges for aspiring writers….Finding the actual time to sit down and devote ones self to the work.
All starting writers I assume must devote themselves to some other profession in order to pay bills, have a roof over their head and eat food. The thing that keeps me on track, is that I always write down every idea I have about the story as soon as I have it. Obviously I have sat down at specified times and tried to contemplate how the story should go, however I have found that some of the best ideas strike me at inopportune times. Hence I simply write them down, preserving them for my use later. It sounds a bit like the Handy Dandy Notebook routine in the Blues Clues cartoon, but I have found it very useful for me!
Hopefully more book progress to come in the next few days!!!! Good look to all you writers out there!!!1
